Getting to Grips with Inequality

When the 62 richest people in the world have as much wealth as the poorer half of the world’s population, and when the richest 10% are responsible for 49% of CO2 emissions, it’s clear that we have to get to grips with inequality. But most approaches to the subject ignore the main generators of inequality. If we want economies that are fair, conducive to well-being, and sustainable, we have to get to grips with these main generators of inequality. Some simple ideas from moral and political economy can help us see how.
